Charlestown Pirate Pride is an
athletic booster club for all Charlestown Pirate student athletes, and
an independent organization approved by the Greater Clark County School
Board. Pirate Pride is centered around unified member support for all
athletic events and organizes fund raising opportunities for financial
support for all nineteen varsity sports at Charlestown High School.
Pirate Pride works to enhance community involvement in all sports and
helps develop a support network for extra curricular activities. Join
Pirate Pride today, meetings are held the 1st Monday of every month,
beginning at 6:30 pm in the Charlestown High School Media Center.

New Sports Arena Scoreboard & Blue, Spark More Excitement
Construction of the new Charlestown High School Sports Arena
continues to progress on schedule, but the recent coats of blue paint and
the matching scoreboard really are sparking more excitement and Pirate
Pride.
The new sports arena will seat approximately 3,200 fans in a "Pit Style"
design, includes six locker rooms, and an attached auxiliary double
gymnasium. Based on the current construction schedule, the
commencement ceremonies of the class of 2010 will be held in the new

Pirate Soccer Conditioning Soon Underway
Spring conditioning for boys
Pirate Soccer is
under way every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday after school beginning March
29th. All athletes are expected to attend at least two of the three days

Pirate Pride Continues the Pirate Pride Way Project
Pirate Pride Way will be located in an Alumni Garden area in front of
the main office and basketball arena entries of the new Charlestown High
School; designated for the placement of engraved bricks and stone benches
dedicated in honor and support of individual interests of Charlestown High
School. Pirate Pride Way is also a Pirate Pride Booster Club fund
raiser, providing all friends of Charlestown High School an opportunity to
permanently show their support of our new high school. [

CHS Graduation Rate Jumps Nearly 10% in 2009!
The Charlestown High School
recently learned some outstanding news regarding its school graduation rate,
it increased from 72.1% in 2008 to 82% in 2009. Keep up the great work
